Royal Kennels - Border Collies

Breeding for ability, purpose, and companionship

How it Started....

After retruning from the Garden in 1998, Craig (my ex-husband) said he wanted a Border Collie. He fell in love with a bitch that Ann Storniolo was showing at the Garden named, Ch. Auldbrig Paint Thtown Red, so when Biscuit had puppies in May we got Thunder, Ch. Love's Terrin It Up Royal, from breeder, Terry Knapp in California. Terry was in Australia working on the movie "Babe" and brought home Thunder's parents: Aussie, Pawtail's Bronzed Aussie and Biscuit, Auldbrig Paint Thtown Red. How'd we meet? Ann was Terry's handler.

While attending the 1999 BCSA Nationals at Purina Farms in Missouri, we met Roslyn Tapp of Auldbrig because she noticed Thunder right away as a Biscuit son and we hit it off from there. Later in 2000, Roslyn sent me a puppy bitch by the name of Glenloy Bunyip aka, Rita. We finished both dogs and went on to handle for other people so our dogs were put on the back burner. Later Craig and I divorced and the Border Collies stayed with him. I aquired them later in 2003. Rita was bred to Thunder and had her first litter in January 2005. The second litter she was leased by Emily Fish with Kathy, Jenny and I as co-breeders on the litter bred to Blaze, Ch. Kellagem Kalkite, PT, RN, ROM in 2006

The 2 litters from Rita...Ch. Glenloy Bunyip produced to date has 5 champion off-spring (to include a National BISSW winner and Regional BISS winner) and 1 major pointed off-spring who have done well at all-breed shows as well as regional and national specialties. We are working on some performance title with a few of these dogs also.

We have relocated back to Washington as I love the area here. I am looking to purchase a home in the Lewis County area. I like to be in close proximity of other dog show people so I found that area most fitting. There is also a great range of activities located around that area such as agility, obedience, flyball, herding, and of course, conformation classes that I enjoy attending. It is also centrally located on the I-5 corridor so it makes traveling convenient.

Thank you for visiting the site and I will keep it updated as new things go on.
